Setting up your email account on Outlook online

Setting Up Email on Outlook Online (Outlook Web App)

Step 1: Log In to Outlook Online

  • Open your web browser and navigate to the Outlook Online website.

  • Log in using your Microsoft account credentials.

Step 2: Access Settings

  • Once logged in, click on the gear icon located in the upper-right corner to access the Settings menu.

Step 3: View All Outlook Settings

  • At the bottom of the Settings pane, click on View all Outlook settings.

Step 4: Navigate to Email Setup

  • In the settings window, go to Mail and then Sync email.

Step 5: Other Email Accounts

  • Scroll down to the Connected accounts section and click on Other email accounts.

Step 6: Add Your Email Account

  • A new window will appear where you'll need to enter your email information:

    • Display Name: Your Name

    • Email Address: yourname@youremail.com

    • Mailbox Type: Choose IMAP

Step 7: Enter Server Information

  • Incoming (IMAP) Server: imap.youremail.com

    • Port: 993

    • Encryption Method: SSL

  • Outgoing (SMTP) Server: smtp.youremail.com

    • Port: 465

    • Encryption Method: SSL

Step 8: Enter Credentials

  • Username: yourname@youremail.com

  • Password: Your Password

Step 9: Save Settings

  • Click OK to save your settings.

Step 10: Done

  • You should now see your email account listed under Connected accounts. It may take a few minutes for your emails to populate.
